Building Universal Awareness ... The Group Chalice- #11 Taurus

The Three Major full moon festivals of Aries, Taurus, and Gemini are considered by the esoteric wisdom Teachings to be a time of inner reflection and inner observation. Aries emphasizes meditation on the purpose and direction of our life. In Taurus, we consider the connection we make to the higher principles and core values of our life. In Gemini, we process the path of actualization of our inner contacts and inner values in practical life.

In Taurus or Wesak Festival, we are able to come in contact with new possibilities, new visions, new measures, and new viewpoints. Our contact with higher and broader forms of thought opens new areas of life for us. In our level of contact, we begin to see how life is an open system with infinite potentials through which we can grow and expand and become better persons.

The Wisdom Teachings tell us that “...Loneliness creates an atmosphere of contact.” (Psyche and Psychism, p. 947). What does it mean to become lonely in the physical, emotional, and mental sense? Why is it that the experience of prophets and Great Ones always includes this measure of loneliness and emptiness as a precondition for the highest contact of their earthly service?

“Loneliness means emptiness, alone-ness, leaving behind all worldly patterns and concerns. It is a process of creating a deliberate place within you that is empty, pure, sacred, poised. It is a space you have created that is your essence, your heart, your hope, faith, love, connection to everything great. It is a higher frequency and higher vibration and tone of your life. It is a state of being where in your emptiness you feel the fullness and majesty of life; where love of the eternal and immortal is fully expressed.” (Gita Saraydarian, Contact)
