Meditation Part 2: Effects of Meditation.
Aquarius compels us to view ourselves as the “water of life, poured forth for thirsty men.” What do we pour out to others? Do we pour from our True Essence or from something else? Meditation is the path to the blooming of our True Self which, when poured out to others, gives life-affirming blessings to all. Lecture presented at TSG Center on February 9, 2009.
This lecture focuses on the Basics of Meditation as a path to the life giving energies of our soul, our Essential Self. Meditation is the process of deep and serious thinking. It is the process in which we hold a question in the light of our highest intellectual tension and draw out an answer. Meditation leads us to understand the subtle, non-material aspects of life.
The Aquarius Full Moon keynote is this: “Water of Life I am poured forth for thirsty men.” The water of life is our own psychic energy. It is the energy, the treasury of our True Self. This energy is imbued with the power to uplift, to heal, to unify, to console, to energize, to love and to forgive. The energy of the psyche is the divine energies in all of us, latent at first, and developed as we become our soul conscious human beings.
Meditation enables us to connect to the non-material world, also known as the Other Worlds. This is the world of higher thinking, creativity, inspirations, inventions, pure plans and purpose in life. When we learn to practice proper meditation, we will be able to link to the higher non-material parts of life and then be able to articulate this contact in the many ways that we create and live. Meditation is an important part of our process of transformation and there are many ways to approach it.
In this lecture, Gita Saraydarian discusses some aspects of meditation that will help you in your meditation practice and expand your view of spiritual transformation. This lecture follows part one on Scientific Meditation given during the Capricorn 2009 full moon.
The one-hour lecture consists of the following topics:
- What is Meditation?
- What are the non-material worlds?
- What changes occur in us with meditation practice?
- What are some of the ways we can meditate—what are some kinds of meditation?
- Rules for Meditation
- How to approach the practice of meditation
- Maintaining our energy after meditating
- Meditation on Beauty
- Meditation in Aquarius
