Lecture given in the Aquarian Education Group’s old temple in Sedona, Arizona on February 13, 1994.
“Living ethics are the outcome of your experiences. When you have continuous experiences about something, eventually you find out what is right and what is wrong, and you form rules.
“When the experience and the rule become digested by your nature, eventually you digest their wisdom and the wisdom changes in your subconscious and your soul into a living ethic. It becomes a subconscious urge, drive, and instinct within you that makes you act ethically. Where did that ethic come from? It didn’t come from anybody else because if you learn ethics from anybody else, they are only as good as a piece of paper hanging on the wall.
“A living ethic means that your experiences and your rules are now controlling your actions, your words, your thoughts, your mouth, your feelings. Your experiences and your rules have become a living process now, not like something you buy at the store and put on the shelf to sit for months.”
